My experience in the Dpointgroup Team

Hello guys!

This is my last week in Barcelona, working for the Dpointgroup Company and I wanted to share my experience and advice with you.
As you already know I was working for some weeks in the Marketing and Human Resources departments of the company.
The autonomy and freedom given to the interns could be disconcerting at the beginning. Some could take that as a lake of interest, and it was my case, but I changed my mind. The supervisors and other interns in the office were kind and available to help me and answer my questions, every time I needed. My internship was supposed to last only 8 weeks, so I decided to work as harder as I could even if my efforts were not immediately recognized. In few weeks, I ended with my general tasks and it was not easy, because I literally worked for 2 companies at the same time. But I wanted to do so, for me. Not in order to be well-known by my internship mentor and other people within the team but to not lose my time, learn new things and improve some abilities. Just doing, what you are supposed to do when you get a job or an internship. I just wanted to be better in some fields and applied my knowledge.

The workload could be considerable and some days, I didn’t want to get up and go at the office.
I am naturally autonomous and independent when I work or study.  So, it was not a super bad thing for me to be able to set my own timetable, every week. I am proud to see that I have done everything I was supposed to do.
I learnt a lot through each task and my research to make them the best way possible. I improved some competences too.

For my last week in the Company, the Director, who is also our internship mentor, asked me to create special content for the company and its different branches. He saw my work on the social media platforms I created in order to promote the company products & services and he liked them. I can add it to my CV now!!

I am grateful to have been part of the team and work at my own pace with autonomy and efficiency. I learnt many things about myself and I am so proud to have been able to stay motivated and work so hard, despite the organisation way of doing and all my student duties!

When you get an internship in this company, you must be able to get some distance and do the things for yourself, first! And see the good side: it’s just about 20 hours/week and you are in one of the most beautiful European cities. So, enjoy!

Besos!!
Xoxo!!
